(n) Further Means of Accessing the Contents of the F-array

Whereas the PHOENICS user who has mastered the use of the L0F function already is able to obtain access to any EARTH variable referred to in GRDLOC, several other means exist which will save some time and trouble.

First, values appropriate to individual cells will be discussed, ie those for which the cell coordinates IY, IX and IZ are specified. Attention will then be given to how slab-wise arrays of values can be handled simultaneously, in DO loops of various kinds. Thereafter, two kinds of array-handling function will be described, namely those which employ segments of the F-array alone, and those which additionally employ two-dimensional arrays which the user has introduced.
