### INTRODUCTION

VRGEOM shapemaker
utility has been used here to create the geometry
object representing the topography of a river course by converting
BFC grid XYZ file.

The case presented makes use of the river geometry object to similate
the water flow distribution on Cartesian grid.

### THE STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This case deals with the 3D turbulent water flow in the river course
containing two islands and having nonlinear bed topography.
The free surface elevations are neglected assumed to be small for
essentially subcritical flow.

### COMPUTATIONAL DETAILS

### Conservation equations

The independent variables of the problem are the three components of
Cartesian coordinate system, namely X, Y and Z.

The main dependent (solved for) variables are:

- Pressure, P1 and
- Three velocity components, U1, V1, W1 and
- Distance from the nearest wall, LTLS, for LVEL turbulence model

### THE RESULTS

The plots show the flow distributions in the river course.
